Review a mixed-language consultation transcript before using it

Keep the recording and the correction together

Obtain the consent your practice requires before recording and follow its retention rules. EzHomeo advertises practitioner-started recording and a reviewable mixed-language transcript; it warns that accuracy varies and review is required.

  1. Listen once for speakers, pauses and language changes. Keep the original audio available under your practice’s access rules.
  2. Read each transcript segment while replaying its audio. Mark uncertain words, negations, times, quantities and who said them; do not guess from context.
  3. Correct the transcript in the original language where possible. Record uncertainty if the audio remains ambiguous; ask the patient to clarify when clinically important.
  4. Compare each suggested symptom and rubric with the corrected statement. Reject, add or change suggestions only after checking their source and meaning.
  5. Review the final case record for what was actually said versus what was inferred. Keep diagnosis, treatment, dosage and follow-up decisions with the practitioner.

A draft transcript omits nahin and reads “Subah dard hota; evening mein hota hai.” Replaying the audio and restoring the negation changes the documented timing. Remove any morning-pain rubric inferred from the bad draft; do not automatically add an evening rubric without checking the patient’s meaning and the available source.

Stop when the source is uncertain
